About the Opportunity

Port Macquarie Hastings Council is seeking a dedicated professional with hands-on experience in water, sewer, plumbing, or a related field to join our team as a Utilities Compliance Coordinator.

This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on environmental stewardship and contribute to ensuring compliance within our community. We value skilled communicators who can negotiate and resolve conflicts effectively, work both independently and collaboratively, and have strong organisational skills to manage multiple priorities.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Leading the Utilities Compliance Team under corporate values, overseeing performance, and driving achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Managing resourcing and priorities to ensure compliance team deliverables are met and tasks completed
  • Coordinating trade waste register management and other relevant water and wastewater compliance databases
  • Providing guidance to the broader team and customers on implementing programs, policies, standards, practices, systems related to water, wastewater, and trade waste compliance
  • Informing and assessing trade waste, development, and other applications regarding water and wastewater compliance
Remuneration Package

We offer a competitive salary package that includes:

  • A salary range of $91,569 to $103,016 per annum, exclusive of superannuation
  • Full-time, permanent position with 35 hours per week
