About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Water Compliance Specialist to join our team at Port Macquarie Hastings Council.

This role will involve:

  1. Leading the Utilities Compliance Team under the corporate values, overseeing performance, and driving achievement of KPIs
  2. Managing, monitoring, and reviewing resourcing and priorities to ensure compliance team deliverables are met and tasks completed
  3. Coordinating the management of the trade waste register and other relevant water and wastewater compliance databases
  4. Providing guidance to the broader team and customers in the implementation of programs, policies, standards, practices, systems as they relate to water, wastewater, and trade waste compliance
  5. Informing and assessing trade waste, development, and other applications as relating to water and wastewater compliance
Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Managing the Utilities Compliance Team
  • Coordinating trade waste register management
  • Providing guidance on compliance matters
  • Informing and assessing trade waste applications

This role also involves working with the broader team to ensure compliance with water, wastewater, and trade waste regulations.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong knowledge of water, wastewater, and trade waste regulations
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities

Remuneration and benefits include:
