About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Worker to join our KinCare team in the Hornsby area. As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our elderly customers, enabling them to live independently at home for longer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide domestic assistance, including cleaning and laundry, to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for our customers.
  • Assist with meal preparation and shopping, ensuring our customers have access to nutritious food and groceries.
  • Offer social support and transport to lifestyle activities, helping our customers stay connected and engaged with their community.
  • Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as medication management and assistance with mobility and therapy goals.
  • Offer respite and emotional support to our customers and their families, providing a sense of relief and comfort.
  • Transport customers to appointments and provide social support, helping them stay connected with their healthcare providers and community.
  • Provide complex care for customers with high care needs, including dementia and other complex conditions.

Requirements
  • Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support, Disability, or Nursing.
  • Experience of 6 months or more in a similar role, including experience with personal care, manual handling, hoist training, and medications.
  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle, with a willingness to travel to customers' homes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach, with a commitment to providing high-quality care and support to our customers.
