About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Worker to join our team in the Hornsby area. As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our customers, enabling them to live independently at home for longer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide domestic assistance, including cleaning and laundry, to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for our customers.
  • Assist with meal preparation and shopping, promoting healthy eating habits and independence.
  • Deliver personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, with dignity and respect.
  • Manage medication, assist with mobility, and support therapy goals to enhance our customers' overall well-being.
  • Offer respite and emotional support, providing a listening ear and a comforting presence.
  • Provide social support and transport to appointments, fostering connections and community engagement.

Requirements

  • 6 months or more experience in a similar role, including personal care skills.
  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle, with a willingness to travel.
  • Ability to work independently, finding solutions to everyday problems and knowing when to ask for help.
  • Availability to work at least 3 days, Monday to Friday, with no night or weekend work.
