The Processing Manager plays a critical role in the residential loan processing journey, overseeing all aspects of the business purpose space. This senior professional must have extensive expertise in managing the end-to-end loan process, ensuring data integrity, client engagement, and effective leadership.
This individual will be responsible for overseeing loan submissions through closing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal policies and investor guidelines. They will also lead, mentor, and manage processing associates, fostering accountability, performance, and professional development.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
Key Responsibilities- Lend Oversight: Oversee loan submissions through closing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal policies and investor guidelines.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage processing associates, fostering accountability, performance, and professional development.
- Pipeline Management: Monitor loan pipelines, manage workload distribution, review team mailbox, and align staffing to meet funding deadlines and production goals.
- Vendor Supervision: Supervise third-party vendors' production, timing, and service.
- Issue Resolution: Serve as the primary escalation point, resolving issues promptly to maintain operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally with Business Development, Underwriting, Closing, and Quality Control teams to ensure accurate and timely loan submissions.
- Customer Experience: Champion a high-quality customer experience through responsive communication, attention to detail, and professionalism.
- Performance Monitoring: Leverage reporting tools to monitor team performance, ensure document accuracy, and prevent processing delays or redundancies.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, real estate, or a related field is preferred.
- Leadership Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in an Operations Processing leadership role.
- Processing Experience: Minimum 3-5 years processing experience.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of preliminary title report endorsements.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
