We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Business Partner to lead our procurement activities and provide expert advice to internal teams.

About the Role

This pivotal role involves developing and managing procurement plans, leading tendering processes, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver innovative supply solutions. The successful candidate will have tertiary qualifications in procurement, business, law, commerce, or a related field, as well as significant experience in a government procurement environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement Planning: Develop and manage procurement plans that meet stakeholder needs and service objectives.
  • Tendering and Quotations: Lead tendering processes and requests for quotes while ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Expert Advice: Provide expert advice, training, and support to internal teams on procurement procedures, risk management, and best practices.
  • Policies and Systems: Monitor and update procurement policies and systems to reflect industry standards and regulatory changes.
  • Innovative Solutions: Collaborate with stakeholders to design innovative supply solutions that deliver value for money and support service delivery.
Requirements
  • Tertiary Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in procurement, business, law, commerce, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years' experience in a procurement role within a government environment.
  • Skills: Proven ability to manage tender and quotation processes from preparation through to administration, strong understanding of procurement legislation, policies, and compliance requirements, and excellent communication skills.
