
Workers Compensation Specialist

We are seeking a talented individual to join our team and take on the role of Claims Consultant.
The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of operational experience, preferably in workers compensation related field. They should possess knowledge of the Qld Workers' Compensation and Rehabilitation Qld Act 2003 and be able to make decisions, solve problems, and establish work priorities independently or as a member of a team.
They should also be able to effectively liaise, communicate, and negotiate with a wide range of personnel from public and private sectors. In addition, they should have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The successful candidate will contribute to the effective operation of Claims Management Services to achieve the goals and objectives of the LGW Scheme. They will manage statutory claims from determination to finalisation, applying technical expertise on complex claims.
The role requires high-quality claims management services to scheme members. The candidate should be able to provide timely responses to all clients' needs, meet customer service standards, and maintain the claims management system.
Additionally, they should ensure compliance with legislative requirements and ethical standards, liaising with stakeholders as necessary. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional client service ability, be motivated, and have excellent attention to detail.

- Job Responsibilities:
- Manage statutory claims from determination to finalisation, applying technical expertise on complex claims.

- Maintain the claims management system, including claim estimates.
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and ethical standards, liaising with stakeholders as necessary.
- Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Operational experience of 2-3 years, preferably in workers compensation related field.
- Knowledge of the Qld Workers' Compensation and Rehabilitation Qld Act 2003.
