Job Summary
">The role of Claims Officer involves managing highly sensitive, confidential and historical Liability claims. The successful candidate will be responsible for proactively managing a portfolio of claims, ensuring quality customer service and compliance with relevant statutory guidelines and standards.
">- Key Responsibilities:
- Efficient management of the claims process, resulting in accurate completion and validation of claims
- Interpreting policy coverage and determining if coverage applies to claims submitted, escalating issues as needed
- Establishing and maintaining good client relationships with the insured, brokers, investigators, solicitors and the general public
- Initiation and completion of any recoveries from third parties
- Self-audit of claims files to ensure positive internal audits
- Response to enquiries in an accurate, timely, professional and courteous manner within Privacy guidelines
About the Ideal Candidate
">The ideal candidate will have strong technical claims experience and expertise in managing complex Latent & Special Risk claims, including specialty classes of insurance such as bodily injury, psychiatric and psychological injury. They will also possess excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with external providers and maintain confidentiality and resilience.
