As a key member of our Care Services team, you will play a hands-on role supporting participants in our SIL Accommodation homes. Key duties include:
- Medication administration
- Home Based Daily Living Support
- Taking participants for appointments and other community participation
- Behavior observation and support
- Meal preparation and shopping assistance
- Maintaining a record of participant progress
- Assessing participants to determine continuing needs
- Assistance in building participant self-image and self-confidence
- Manual Handling of participants
This participant requires 24-hour care so a variety of shifts will be available.
Desired skills and experience:
- Must have own vehicle for transport with comprehensive insurance
- Must be able to work varied shifts
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Ageing or related industries highly regarded
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Current National Police Clearance
- Current QLD Unrestricted Driver's License
- Clear spoken English
- Experienced or comfortable and knowledgeable with restrictive practice guidelines and Positive Behaviour Support Plans
- Experience with Mental Health practices
