Job Title:

Assistant Coordinator

This role is designed to optimize the efficiency of key areas within our organization. It offers a rewarding balance of hands-on and administrative responsibilities, making it an ideal position for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities include mentoring and supporting staff, overseeing and enhancing programs, building strong connections with the community, managing office administration tasks, maintaining and updating policies, and delivering in-house staff training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentor and support staff members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Oversee and improve existing programs to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with community stakeholders.
  • Manage administrative tasks and duties related to office operations.
  • Update and maintain policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide in-house training and development opportunities for staff.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working directly with children in childcare or educational settings.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of developing programs aligned with My Time, Our Place (MTOP) framework and National Quality Standard (NQS).
  • Able to mentor and guide staff to build a strong and cohesive team.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Children's Services or equivalent qualification.
  • Valid Working with Children Check (Suitability Card).
  • Current certifications in Senior First Aid, CPR, Emergency Asthma Management, and Anaphylaxis Training.
  • National Police Check, ensuring suitability for working with children.
