Accounts Receivable Officer Job Description

The Accounts Receivable Officer is responsible for managing multiple entities' accounts receivable ledgers, reconciling banking with system reports, and entering and reconciling bank statement deposits into the accounting system.

  • This involves following up and reporting discrepancies between amounts banked and system reports, investigating and reconciling all balances on trade ledgers, and maintaining debtor balances within agreed KPI levels.
  • In addition, the role requires generating ad hoc invoices accurately and in a timely manner, dealing with all receivables queries, including internal and external clients, and identifying ways to streamline accounts receivable processes in coordination with key clients.
About You
  • To be successful in this role, you will need prior accounts receivable and bank reconciliation experience, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent planning and organization skills, and a team player mindset.
  • A high level of motivation and enthusiasm is also essential, along with good problem-solving skills and an inquisitive mind.
