Accounts Receivable Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join our organization as an Accounts Receivable Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for the management of customer ledgers, ensuring that invoices are paid in a timely manner.

As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in deploying a brand-new ERP system and ensuring business continuity and issue resolution during a period of unprecedented change.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Cash Flow Management: Manage customer ledgers efficiently and ensure timely payment of invoices
  • Credit Parameters: Monitor and manage credit parameters, payment terms, and exception requests
  • Payment Influence: Proactively influence the payment behavior of customers
  • Past Due Balances: Manage past due balances and monitor invoices sent to customers
  • Payment Processing: Process incoming payments, cash application basis payment, and follow up on overdue accounts
  • Customer Record Management: Maintain up-to-date records of customer accounts, payment history, and credit terms
  • Dispute Resolution: Investigate and resolve discrepancies or disputes related to invoices and payments
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with sales, finance, and customer service teams to streamline processes and improve collection times
Requirements:
  • Experience: 5 years' experience in an Accounts receivable/Collections/finance-based role
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, invoicing, and reconciliation
  • ERP Systems: Proficiency in ERP systems (SFDC and MS Dynamics) and Microsoft Excel
  • Negotiation Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills for collections
  • Payment Experience: Experience in taking payments over the phone or talking about financial matters
  • Problem-Solving: Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Multitasking: Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Credit Risk Assessment: Knowledge of credit risk assessment and financial reporting
  • Legislation: Familiarity with Local market legislation, tax, and collections practice expertise
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
