Job Title: Senior Telecommunications Pre-Sales Engineer

Job Description:

The successful candidate will partner with our service delivery and business development teams to achieve sales and revenue targets. This customer-facing role is accountable for determining customer requirements of new and existing sales opportunities, then developing technical solutions that meet those customer requirements.

  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and develop tailored solutions.
  • Provide technical pre-sales support, including leading solution architecture and design, presentations, demonstrations and proposal development for wireless systems with focus on Public Mobile Networks (5G, 4G), Public Safety Networks (P25), 2-way Radio Networks, In Building Coverage (IBC) and small cells .
  • Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine the best solutions for customer needs.
  • Assist in the preparation of RFIs, RFPs, RFQs responses and technical proposals by collaborating with customers and internal teams.
  • Review and provide feedback on proposed RF design documentation including system schematics, RF link budgets, coverage/propagation maps and performance targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including internal teams, subcontractors and suppliers to produce pricing for proposed solutions.
  • Engage with suppliers to agree on technical requirements and assess the quality of their products.
  • Articulate the technical benefits of a proposed solution vs. competitive offerings.
  • Manage multiple projects and sales initiatives simultaneously from inception to completion.
  • Provide and own clear cost inputs (including rationale) in financial models.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to provide cutting-edge solutions.
  • Provide post-sales support and ensure smooth implementation of solutions.
  • Coach and mentor junior engineers and solution architects.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills are necessary.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities is essential.
  • Knowledge of wireless communication systems, including Public Mobile Networks (5G, 4G), Public Safety Networks (P25), 2-way Radio Networks, In Building Coverage (IBC) and small cells is required.
  • Experience with RF design and propagation analysis is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, is necessary.
  • Ability to travel as needed is required.
