The Senior Clinician, Youth Mental Health Initiative role presents a unique opportunity to make a profound impact in the lives of young people struggling with complex mental health concerns.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver trauma-informed, culturally sensitive therapeutic interventions and integrated psychosocial responses to adolescents with severe mental health needs.
- Lead and mentor junior clinicians, ensuring the delivery of strengths-based and recovery-oriented mental health care and treatment.
- Collaborate with local specialist teams and youth mental health services to enhance pathways and improve outcomes.
- Hold relevant tertiary qualifications and be registered with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).
- Possess extensive post-graduate clinical experience in child and youth mental health, with knowledge of evidence-based assessment and treatment methods.
- Demonstrate advanced reasoning skills, independent professional judgment, and the ability to manage complex clinical care issues.
- Exhibit effective interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication, and competence in information technology systems.
