Job Title: Senior Clinician - Youth Mental Health Service

Role Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced clinician to join our team as a Senior Clinician for the Youth Mental Health Initiative. This role will involve providing trauma-informed, culturally safe therapeutic interventions and integrated psychosocial responses to young people experiencing complex mental health concerns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff in delivering strengths-based and recovery-oriented mental health care and treatment.
  • To develop and implement effective therapeutic plans and interventions to support young people with severe and complex mental health needs.
  • To work collaboratively with partner agencies and services to enhance youth mental health pathways and services.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Extensive post-graduate clinical experience and knowledge in providing evidence-based mental health assessment and treatment for young people.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the principles of trauma-informed care and its application.
  • Ability to apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement to manage complex clinical care and service delivery issues.
