Senior Change Specialist

Our client is seeking a Senior Change Specialist to join their Portfolio and Financial Management Improvement Program.

The Challenge

In the last decade, the scale of demands on the Infrastructure Services Division has increased significantly. The annual delivery portfolio has grown to over $1.7 billion per year, with over 2,000 projects in flight, alongside a growing and ageing asset educational infrastructure base with a replacement cost of more than $40 billion.

The Solution

To address these challenges, there are several business transformation initiatives underway or being initiated to uplift the maturity of business practices that underpin service delivery of ISD. These focus on portfolio management, financial management, asset management, contract management, and information governance & digital enablement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop fit-for-purpose change strategies and implementation plans.
  • Coordinate and track change activities, timelines, and deliverables across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Maintain change artefacts (e.g., stakeholder maps, readiness checklists, impact assessments).
  • Identify impacted stakeholders and support engagement planning.
  • Prepare stakeholder presentations, communications, and briefing materials.
  • Monitor feedback channels and ensure issues and risks are captured and escalated appropriately.
  • Draft and maintain communication materials (FAQs, updates, newsletters).
  • Coordinate and deliver training activities, including scheduling, logistics, and feedback collection.
  • Maintain engagement registers, training records and support change tracking dashboards.
  • Facilitate and document change impact assessments with input from stakeholders, SMEs, and key project team members.
  • Monitor and report on business readiness indicators and support mitigation activities where needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience delivering and/or certification in change management methodologies (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR).
  • Demonstrated experience in business transformation and change projects, ideally in government, large or complex organisations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to work across competing priorities.

With this role, you will play a key part in supporting the successful delivery of change across the Portfolio and Financial Management Improvement Program. You will coordinate and deliver change activities that build readiness, support adoption, and strengthen engagement.
