About the role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive
Senior Business Analyst
to support the delivery of a large-scale digital transformation program within a regulatory-focused organisation. This role will be key in shaping the analysis, documentation and delivery of requirements for a new case management system, ensuring business needs are met in a fast-paced Agile environment.
As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with product managers, product owners, change analysts, developers, and testers to drive requirements gathering, business process alignment and solution design. This is a hands-on role requiring a natural communicator with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead requirements definition and decomposition activities within an agile ICT program/project environment.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, refine and document business requirements, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
- Produce high-quality business artefacts including Features, Epics, User Stories, process models, and use case documentation.
- Ensure requirements traceability, dependency mapping, and backlog management throughout the program lifecycle.
- Provide strategic and operational advice on business analysis practices and methodologies to support program delivery.
- Support and mentor product owners and delivery teams in Agile requirements gathering and analysis.
- Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and balancing competing priorities.
- Contribute to testing and validation activities, ensuring business needs are clearly understood and met by technical teams.
- Foster a collaborative, innovative and positive team culture.
Skills and experience
- Demonstrated experience delivering business analysis activities in large ICT or transformation programs, ideally within an Agile environment.
- Strong skills in negotiation, facilitation and stakeholder engagement, including working with senior executives and delivery teams.
- Proven ability to manage backlog refinements and ensure high-quality User Stories and acceptance criteria.
- Experience applying a range of requirements analysis techniques, methodologies and tools, including UML, BPMN, journey mapping, and wireframing.
- Strong understanding of governance, traceability, and change management in relation to business requirements.
- Experience working with CRM or case management solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
Desirable
- Immediate availability or short notice period.
- Experience in digital transformation, business transformation or process re-design projects.
- Familiarity with design and workflow technologies such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 or JIRA.
- Background in the public sector or regulatory environments.
- Relevant Agile certifications or training.
