Structural Design Specialist

Position Overview: As a Structural Design Specialist, you will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed technical drawings for various structural projects. Your expertise will be critical in translating engineering concepts into clear, precise designs that meet Australian industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce detailed structural drawings and plans using AutoCAD, Revit, or other drafting software.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure design specifications and standards are met.
  • Review and modify existing plans to ensure accuracy and compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Prepare layouts, designs, and construction details for structural elements like foundations, beams, columns, and framing systems.
  • Coordinate with contractors, architects, and other professionals to address design challenges and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Assist in preparing project documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Structural Draftsperson, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and BIM 360.
  • In-depth knowledge of structural design principles, materials, and construction methods.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
