Occupational Therapist Specialist

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist / Senior Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic Northern Community Mental Health team in Adelaide, Australia.
This role plays a pivotal part in delivering exceptional occupational therapy services to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. Your expertise will be instrumental in promoting independence, fostering personal growth, and facilitating meaningful engagement in daily activities.
You will provide therapeutic engagement and coordination of care to people receiving community-based mental health services. This includes working as a member of an interdisciplinary team, spending time out and about with consumers living in the community.

Key Responsibilities- To provide comprehensive assessments and interventions for consumers who are experiencing concerns regarding occupational performance.
- To adopt a sensory modulation approach to offer insight into an individual's level of functioning and provide non-pharmacological recommendations for reducing distress, maximising functioning, and enhancing meaningful engagement.
To be eligible for this position, you must hold an appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
You will need to have a strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
