Occupational Therapist

The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic Northern Community Mental Health team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional occupational therapy services to individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide therapeutic engagement and coordination of care to individuals receiving community-based mental health services. You will work closely with consumers, families, and caregivers to promote independence, foster personal growth, and facilitate meaningful engagement in daily activities.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be able to prioritize tasks effectively.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing comprehensive assessments and interventions for consumers experiencing concerns regarding occupational performance
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to promote independence and well-being
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions
- Providing education and support to consumers, families, and caregivers on occupational therapy principles and practices
