Job Title: Donor Engagement Specialist

Overview:

The Donor Engagement Specialist plays a pivotal role in maximizing individual giving and philanthropic revenue through strategic relationships with donors.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify, cultivate, nurture, and grow relationships with new and existing supporters to inspire support.
- Develop and execute exceptional stewardship plans for prospects, communicating impact to increase their engagement with the organization.
- Collaborate with the Donor Development Manager to create GIW stewardship engagement plans, including follow-up with potential and confirmed bequest donors by phone, mail, and in-person.
- Work with marketing to develop engaging and creative cases for support that demonstrate need and impact.
- Identify major donor prospects and map donor journeys to steward new major gifts.
- Create experiences and opportunities to introduce potential major gift supporters to projects they are interested in funding.

Requirements:

- 5+ years of experience in a similar fundraising role
- Proven track-record in generating significant financial philanthropic gifts or successful Gift in Will programs
- Experience in strengthening a growing relationship-based program through cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding supporters
- Self-starter with proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, with a desire to be out of the office meeting with supporters
- Highly resourceful team-player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Positive, flexible attitude and high energy
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including attending events outside of business hours as needed
- Driver's license with flexibility and mobility to undertake business travel as required for the position
