Job Overview

Our client is seeking a skilled Data and Analytics Lead to spearhead data strategy and drive business outcomes. This 6-month contract role will focus on enhancing data and reporting platforms, storage solutions, and analytics requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Align data management, warehousing, and storage design to achieve synergy and enterprise-level value optimization.
  • Identify strategic data requirements and design models utilizing best practices in data science and analytics.
  • Implement governance frameworks for enterprise-level data capture and storage.
  • Collaborate with analysts to establish consistent reporting approaches and dashboards.
  • Assist in developing enterprise data and analytics roadmaps.
  • Evaluate and map data-related alternatives to deliver business outcomes.
  • Reduce data complexity and implement established governance frameworks.
  • Maintain internal and external data design blueprints.
  • Collaborate with ICT functions to devise data solutions.
  • Foster relationships with stakeholders to drive change and enhance understanding of analytics optimization.
  • Engage with managers and executives on governance requirements.
  • Spearhead optimized solution development with third-party vendors.
  • Oversee the Data Platform throughout its lifecycle.
Required Skills:
  • Business Engagement: Effective engagement with business stakeholders.
  • Technical Proficiency: Solid technical background in data warehouse design, architecture, modeling, and corporate business intelligence tools.
  • Cloud Technology: Proven expertise in working with cloud data & analytics technologies.
  • Microsoft Tools: Experience with SQL, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Azure ML, Power BI, and Power Apps.
  • Standards and Guidelines: Ability to develop and maintain standards and guidelines for platform development.
  • Continuous Improvement: Capacity to identify opportunities for continuous improvement of information usage.
  • Operational Roles: Extensive expertise in Data and Analytics operational roles and experience running production operations in Data platforms.
  • Cost Optimisation: Understanding Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) with cloud-enabled data platforms.
  • Leadership: Passion for building and leading high-performance teams.
  • Governance: Demonstrated ability to implement data governance practices.
  • Strategic Planning: Assistance in 3-5 year data roadmap.
  • Advanced Analytics: Experience with ML and OpenAI considered an advantage.
  • Agile Environment: Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced Agile environment.
