Research Administrator Role

This position plays a pivotal role in supporting the research team by providing operational guidance and assistance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • The coordinator will draft ethics submissions, assist with grant applications, coordinate outreach events, onboard new staff, and prepare compliance reports and data storage for analysis.
  • They will manage day-to-day administrative activities for the research team and provide support for efficient clinic operations via supply management and maintenance request logging.
  • Group phone, email, calendar, and SharePoint site management, as well as team meeting coordination and project implementation, are also key responsibilities.
  • The coordinator will advise the Principal Investigator and research team on ethics submissions and reporting.
  • Support for funding applications and existing research projects is also provided.
  • Outreach activities, event implementation, marketing collateral development, and stakeholder liaison are additional duties.
  • Representing the Principal Investigator and work area in strategic meetings with relevant stakeholders is another responsibility.
  • Financial, purchasing, procurement, expense reconciliation, and travel administrative services are offered to staff as needed.

About You

You must be highly organized and proactive, with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Experience developing and supporting research projects, familiarity with research protocols, experimental design, ethics submissions, and grant applications are essential.

Strong numeracy skills enable you to manage budgets, reconcile income and expenditure, oversee invoice payments, and purchases.
