Financial Accounting Role

As a seasoned financial professional, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our organization's finances. With a dynamic and forward-thinking work environment, you will have the opportunity to balance office time and remote work while making a significant contribution to the finance team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead general ledger reconciliations and handle month-end and year-end financial closing processes with precision and attention to detail.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements to provide insightful recommendations for better decision-making.
  • Support the broader finance team in creating and monitoring budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Manage taxation requirements, including GST and BAS, for our organization.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance financial systems and practices to ensure efficiency and compliance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Licensure/education in accounting, such as CA or CPA qualification (or near completion).
  • Proven experience in financial accounting, ideally within professional services or a similar sector.
  • Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • High proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems; experience with case management software is a bonus.
  • A customer-service mindset coupled with strong communication capabilities to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
