About the Role

As a Senior Accountant in our Virtual CFO team, you'll take on a dynamic, hands-on role at the center of our clients' financial operations. From managing month-end processes and preparing insightful reports to supporting strategic projects, you'll help drive business decisions and outcomes. You'll work closely with clients, build trusted relationships, and partner with our Virtual CFO Director to deliver high-impact financial guidance that goes far beyond the numbers.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting for a client portfolio

  • Prepare management reports, board packs, and KPI dashboards with commentary

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning

  • Provide financial and strategic insights alongside the Virtual CFO Director

  • Collaborate with clients' teams to ensure accurate, timely financial data

  • Offer onsite client support (1–3 days/week) as a trusted finance partner

  • Help implement systems, drive automation, and improve processes

  • Liaise with external accountants and auditors for compliance and year-end deliverables

  • Mentor junior and offshore team members

About You

  • CPA or CA qualified with 4+ years of experience in accounting, with experience in professional services or industry.

  • Good knowledge of accounting standards, ATO requirements, month-end reporting, and financial operations

  • Experience in preparing budgets, financial analysis and building financial forecasts

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment

  • Strong technical accounting skills with commercial awareness

  • Excellent communication and client management abilities

  • Experience with cloud-based accounting systems (e.g., Xero, MYOB, NetSuite) preferred

  • A proactive, hands-on mindset with a focus on outcomes and collaboration
