Renewable Energy Solutions Engineer

At the forefront of accelerating our company vision to lead the global energy revolution, we are seeking a highly skilled Renewable Energy Solutions Engineer. This pivotal role sits at the intersection of technical expertise, project delivery, and strategic business development where you will be instrumental in shaping our approach to delivering renewable energy projects across Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead technical aspects of modelling, analysis, and design of Power Converter Systems (inverter-based generation)
  2. Provide expert technical advisory and engineering services for grid-connected and off-grid power generation systems
  3. Deliver high-quality technical reports and documentation
  4. Foster client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives
  5. Collaborate in cross-functional teams to provide technical due diligence support for transactions
About You:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering with additional qualifications in power systems engineering highly regarded
  • Minimum 5-10 years industry experience
  • Experience working with distributed energy resources (especially wind, solar, and BESS) in the National Electricity Grid
  • Essential experience in developing models/modelling and reviewing outputs in PSS/E, PSCAD
  • Advantageous experience in DSA Tools, PowerFactory, Matlab, RTDS, Fortran &/or manipulating these packages using programming languages such as Python
  • Knowledge of Australian grid codes is desirable
  • Familiarity with Australian and international safety and electrical rules, regulations, and standards
  • Strong understanding of power system studies including generator performance standard studies, transient stability, fault analysis, load flow, protection design, and an ability to assess power quality issues
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Experience in proposal development and strategic pursuits
  • Analytical mindset with sound judgment and problem-solving abilities
