**Geoscience Modelling Professional Role Summary**

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating spatial representations of key geological parameters that reflect the resource, informing business decisions at appropriate scales and resolutions.

  • Deliver fit-for-purpose geoscientific models into downstream processes to support short, medium and long-term development of the resource.
  • Evaluate geological data within the region, identifying potential geoscientific hazards/opportunities and communicating results to stakeholders.
  • Develop geoscientific modelling processes and schedules to deliver models to required quality and timeframes.

Applicants should have a relevant tertiary qualification in Geosciences or a relevant discipline, extensive experience in geological modelling utilising Vulcan software, and the ability to synthesise various geological and geophysical inputs to develop a geological understanding across complex systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Accountable for delivering high-quality geoscientific models on time and within budget.
  • Leading the geological evaluation process within the region, including identification of opportunities and risks associated with different geological scenarios.
  • Developing and implementing effective geoscientific modelling strategies and workflows.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as strong technical skills in geological modelling.
