Job Description

APS6 Program Officer Position: Support the Government Agenda

As an APS6 Program Officer, you will be working at the forefront of delivering high-level policies and programs to the public contributing to their health and well-being.

You will be brought on board to work with the Business Lead to progress activities of the project, including:

  • Preparation of documents for release processes
  • Writing briefings, talking points, ministerial correspondence, and other policy documents
  • Fostering effective working relationships with different areas across the department
  • Delivering training to new users both in person and online

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with various teams within the department
  • Provide training to new users both in-person and online
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Previous experience working in government in a program or policy role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time and work in fast-paced environments
  • Demonstrated ability to produce quality documents
  • Experience working as part of an IT development project is desirable
  • Experience in delivering training is also desirable
