About the Role

A Procurement Business Partner will play a key role in facilitating and supporting the delivery of the Procurement strategy and framework in collaboration with sections and teams across the council. This involves educating, influencing, guiding, coaching, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of Source to Contract, Procure to Pay, and Best Practice strategies within the council.

This role will work closely with managers to ensure the council undertakes all procurement and contracting activities in a manner that reduces organizational expenditure, maintains acceptable probity levels, and minimizes risk, particularly reputational risk, through the provision of high-level, strategic, professional, informed advice.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have Bachelor level qualifications in Procurement and/or Supply, Contract Law, Business, or relevant experience. You will have proven experience in a Procurement focused Business Partnering role within a diverse multi-disciplined organization. Knowledge of Source to Contract and Procure to Pay management practices, and the Local Government framework (Local Government Act and Regulations) is desirable.

You will have the ability to educate, influence, coach, mentor, and forge strong stakeholder relationships based on the provision of informed, sound advice that builds an environment of trust and respect.

Your desired candidate will demonstrate strategic thinking, personal resilience, and self-awareness and will model the highest standard of ethical and professional behavior and act with integrity and confidentiality while representing the council internally and externally.

You will have a C Class driver's license.
