About the Role

The primary objective of this Business Growth Specialist position is to contribute to the expansion of Ofload's customer base in Australia. Key responsibilities include identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders.

The successful candidate will work closely with the broader Commercial team, including Marketing and Analytics, to develop and execute effective business development strategies that align with Ofload's objectives.

The role entails:

  • Identifying and targeting new business opportunities to expand Ofload's customer base in Australia.
  • Developing and implementing effective business development strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with prospective and existing clients, understanding their freight requirements, and providing tailored solutions.
  • Collaborating with the broader Commercial team to develop compelling sales pitches, presentations, and proposals.
  • Attending industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and generate leads.
  • Leading negotiations and contract discussions with potential clients to secure new business partnerships.
  • Providing regular reports and updates on business development activities, sales pipelines, and progress towards targets and underlying goals.

Required skills and experience include:

  • Experience as a Business Development Manager.
  • Understanding of the Australian logistics industry.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully driving business growth and achieving sales targets.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent networking and relationship-building abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to conduct market research and analyse data to identify opportunities.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other relevant business tools.
