Risk Data Solutions Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Data Solutions Manager to join our team at the Commonwealth Bank. As a key member of our Risk Technology group, you will play a critical role in developing and deploying risk frameworks to enable the bank to take informed exposures to various types of risk.
In this role, you will work closely with our Risk Management function to use data to inform risk decisions, prevent financial loss, and ensure compliance with internal and external standards. Your expertise in data analytics, visualisation, and management will be essential in delivering strategic programs of work related to data, data management, visualisation, and reporting.
You will be a high-achieving individual with a strong track record of delivering technical solutions, analysis, and requirements gathering. Your experience in data management methodologies and practices, as well as your end-to-end analytic project delivery skills, will be highly valued. You will also be a strong communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills, able to drive problem-solving and influence business decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a data quality monitoring and remediation solution that can accommodate multiple data quality dimensions and use cases.
- Coordinate remediation activities with business, support units, and data offices.
- Provide analysis, insights, and visualisation into data quality health.
- Coordinate data consumption from multiple data sources.
- Collaborate and support the delivery of data-based solutions.
- Use Design Thinking and ideation principles in the development of user-focused data visualisations.
- Enhance the level of knowledge, best practice, and value add of analytics within the wider Risk team.
- 5+ years of experience in programming languages such as SQL, Python for data analysis and transformations.
- Solid experience in using Teradata, Oracle, and visual studio.
- 5+ years of expertise in data visualisation tools such as Tableau.
- Expert knowledge in data analytics using large amounts of data from multiple sources.
- Solid experience in data used in customer, credit, credit assessments, and risk-weighted assets.
- Solid experience in delivering technical solutions.
- Solid experience in analysis and requirements gathering.
- Experience in data management methodologies and practices.
- End-to-end analytic project delivery experience including scoping work, planning, conducting analysis, making recommendations, and developing presentations.
- Strong computer literacy with advanced skills in MS Office products such as Excel, PowerPoint.
- Good stakeholder management with the ability to drive problem-solving and influence business decisions.
- Understanding of risk management processes coupled with insights into the banking sector.
