As a highly skilled Data Engineer with strong experience in Big Data platforms, you have the opportunity to lead strategic data warehouse applications and complex operational data stores. You will work closely with our team of engineers to design, develop, and build industry-leading group data products.

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with a passion for providing data-driven solutions. Our ideal candidate has strong skills in integrating diverse sets of data from multiple sources, designing data warehousing and enterprise analytics-based solutions, and influencing senior stakeholders in determining requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical governance, implementation, risk management, and adoption for programs of work
  • Design and develop high-quality, sustainable solutions to meet business requirements
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders across the business
  • Contribute to complex delivery planning and provide guidance on technical direction and strategy
Requirements:
  • Strong experience in implementing end-to-end Big Data solutions using Hadoop ecosystems (Hive, HDFS, Pig, HBase, Flume, Kafka, Sqoop, YARN, Impala)
  • Experience in designing data warehousing and enterprise analytics-based solutions using Teradata or relevant data platforms
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with ability to guide senior stakeholders
  • Ability to execute state-of-the-art coding practices and drive high-quality outcomes

The estimated salary range for this role is AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
