Purchasing Strategist

This is a key role within our organisation, responsible for sourcing and selecting the best purchasing options in terms of quality, price and lead times.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining sales administration functions with major customers, liaising with suppliers and stakeholders, preparing and issuing purchase orders, and managing inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities:- Source and negotiate purchasing options to achieve cost savings and improved product quality
- Place orders for stock replenishment and special items to meet business requirements
- Maintain accurate sales administration records with major customers
- Liaise with suppliers and internal/external stakeholders to resolve any issues or concerns
- Prepare and issue purchase orders to ensure timely receipt of goods
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstocking
- Tertiary qualifications in supply chain management or a related field
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a purchasing or procurement role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent negotiation and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated self-management skills
