As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in testing and operating Autonomous Underwater Vessels (AUVs) in the field environment. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of technological advancements and contribute to the evolution of defence capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily AUV inspections and system checks before and after operations
  • Prepare for deployments by identifying, sourcing and kitting AUV test equipment
  • Coordinate launch and recovery evolutions, execute day-to-day test operations and write reports
  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and upgrades of AUVs in the field
  • Support development, review and trials of Standard Operating Procedures and user documentation
  • Assist with risk assessments for test and related operations, identifying and implementing mitigations
  • Provide feedback to design and manufacturing teams including software user interface design
Requirements
  • 4+ years experience in mechanical or electrical trades or production-oriented robotics
  • Maritime trade background is desirable as well as subsea experience or autonomous vehicle operation
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical documentation
  • Experience performing functional checkouts and tests, diagnosing/escalating issues
  • Extremely organised and detail-oriented
  • Comfort being offshore for extended periods
  • A commitment to a positive, inclusive and collaborative culture
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a NV2 Security Clearance
