A career as an Environment and Compliance Manager will challenge you to oversee the implementation and management of regulatory approvals and strategies for construction projects.

You will be responsible for ensuring that these projects are delivered in accordance with relevant legislation and company standards.

This role requires a strong understanding of environmental regulations and the ability to provide technical advice to ensure compliance during construction.

You will also be responsible for preparing environmental regulatory reports, including annual performance statements and national pollution inventory reports.

Additionally, you will need to identify risks and develop strategies with respect to environmental and cultural heritage regulatory matters.

Your goal will be to ensure that environmental incidents, hazards, and near misses are managed according to procedures, and that internal and external incident reporting is overseen.

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Environment, Science or equivalent.
  • Experience in contractor management in a greenfield construction environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders, team members, and leaders.
  • Proactive and energetic about leading and delivering against tasks.
  • Extensive experience working with project teams to deliver projects in accordance with legislation requirements.
  • Strong compliance and risk management, project management, analytical and conceptual skills.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
