Job Title:

Community Engagement Coordinator

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Engagement Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in fostering student engagement and cultivating a sense of community among participants.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in coordinating complex projects, managing budgets, and establishing long-term relationships with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and implement community engagement initiatives and activities targeting underrepresented cohorts in the engineering sector.
  • Establish and manage strategic partnerships within the university and externally with relevant stakeholders.
  • Oversee project plans and schedules, ensuring time, cost, and quality metrics are in line with approved project plans.
  • Provide consultative advice and strategic guidance on issues related to attracting and retaining students from underrepresented cohorts.
  • Design and implement effective marketing and communications strategies for activities and initiatives targeted to underrepresented cohorts.
  • Manage stakeholder communications across multiple channels.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification with extensive experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in fostering student engagement and crafting programs/initiatives aimed at enhancing skills and cultivating a sense of community.
  • Substantial project and event coordination experience.
  • Engagement and stakeholder management skills, including ability to establish long-term relationships.
  • Skilled in managing budgets and financial responsibility.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, with ability to manage competing deadlines.
