Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled payroll professional to join our team. This role requires sole ownership of end-to-end payroll processes for approximately 300 employees.

About the Role

  • Taking full responsibility for end-to-end payroll processes for ~300 employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborating with HR, Finance, and other teams as needed for smooth payroll operations, maintaining effective communication and coordination.
  • Managing payroll backup during leave and recognition through monthly/annual awards, enhancing employee morale and satisfaction.
  • Developing and implementing payroll system skills (Employment Hero/KeyPay), optimizing processes, and improving efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in managing end-to-end payroll, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables, to analyze and present complex data.
  • Solid understanding of multi-state payroll requirements, awards, legislation, and taxation, ensuring compliance and minimizing risk.
  • Excellent attention to detail, confidentiality, and strong organisational skills to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Clear, professional communication and partnering skills to collaborate effectively with HR, Finance, and other teams.
