Complex Dispute Resolution Specialist

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Lawyer to join our Regulatory and Complex Disputes Unit. This is a unique opportunity for a highly skilled legal professional to work on complex litigated cases, providing specialist legal advice in areas of expertise relevant to the unit and branch.
About the Role:- This role encompasses managing complex litigation, briefing external firms, and directly briefing barristers.
- You will work specifically on complex litigated cases involving applications to VCAT's review jurisdiction, as well as Magistrates' Court and other litigation.
- Responsibilities include providing specialist legal advice in areas of expertise relevant to the RCD unit and Workplace and Education Law branch.
- A strong background in complex dispute resolution and litigation management.
- Expertise in areas such as occupational health and safety, early childhood regulation, FOI, privacy disputes, and coronial inquiries.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve outcomes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
