We are seeking an exceptional Senior Receptionist to lead our practice's day-to-day operations.

About the Role

This key position is ideal for a highly skilled and experienced individual who can contribute to the success of our team.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Practice Manager to achieve operational excellence
  • Provide leadership support when the Practice Manager is absent
  • Manage clinicians' appointment schedules, including booking and rescheduling
  • Patient Experience: greet patients warmly and provide exceptional service
  • Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional manner
  • Support healthcare professionals by maintaining accurate clinical records
  • Liaise with external providers as required
  • Develop and train junior reception staff
  • Ensure adherence to best practices and policies
  • Provide administrative support and undertake other duties as needed
Requirements
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a receptionist in a healthcare setting (general practice preferred)
  • Proficiency in medical software and online booking systems (Best Practice preferred)
  • Accurate billing skills for Medicare, DVA, WorkCover, HICAPS and Private Health Insurance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and confident demeanor
  • Professional presentation and commitment to delivering exceptional patient care
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office products is highly regarded
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
