Personal Care Assistant Job DescriptionAbout the Role

This role offers an opportunity to provide support and care to individuals in a residential aged care setting. You will be responsible for assisting with daily living tasks, promoting independence, and encouraging consumers to achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support with Daily Living Tasks: Assist consumers with personal care, grooming, and other daily needs.
  • Promote Independence: Encourage consumers to maintain their independence and engage in activities that promote physical and emotional well-being.
  • Develop Relationships: Build effective relationships with consumers, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality care and support.
Requirements:
  • Certifications: Certificate III in Aged Care, Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing Specialisation), or equivalent, and/or Certificate IV in Aged Care, Certificate IV in Ageing Support; or completion of first year nursing degree (including completion of aged care placement).
  • Experience: Previous experience working in an aged care facility is preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to build effective relationships, work within a team, and provide high-quality support and care.
