Job Description

Casual hospitality roles are available in a leading aged care environment.

As the Hospitality/Food Service Attendant, you will be responsible for delivering friendly and efficient food service to our residents according to our Food Standards and providing kitchen and food preparation support to the Chef.

You will provide all food service activities to residents including serving meals, and dining room set-up and clearing. You must have current Food Handling, Food Safety and other specified qualifications.

You will undertake basic food preparation under direction of senior staff and complete food preparation within the designated timeframe and according to our Food Standards and OH&S specifications.

You will also wash and store equipment within the designated timeframe and according to our Food Standards and OH&S specifications, clean and remove rubbish as required, and conduct kitchen and pantry stock inventory when needed.

About You

We are looking for someone with sound hospitality experience and sound food preparation experience (preferably in an Aged Care environment).

Other essential skills include being highly organised and able to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks, maintaining a high level of professionalism at all times, being highly motivated and able to take initiative, and having excellent communication style - able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.

A team player who is able to go the extra mile and maintain a clean and tidy work environment at all times, you will also need to hold current COVID & Annual Flu Vaccination (mandatory) and be willing to undergo a National Police Check and/or NDIS Worker Check.
