We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team at Lifestyle Solutions. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to live independently and participate fully in their communities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide active support to develop personal interests and skills, including personal care, transportation, and coaching independent living skills.
- Administer and document medication, and follow health support plans to ensure the well-being of our clients.
- Manage behaviour triggers and escalation, using positive behaviour support techniques to promote a safe and supportive environment.
- Ensure the safety of both yourself and the participant, documenting and reporting any incidents or concerns.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a genuine motivation to work with people with disabilities, and be available to work a rotating roster including weekends and overnights. You will also need to hold a current NDIS Worker Check, National Police Check, and driver's license, as well as a first aid certificate and up-to-date Covid vaccinations.
What We Offer- A competitive hourly rate based on the SCHADS Award, pending qualifications.
