Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Bushfire Management Specialist to join our Environment and Sustainability team at Workforce Australia for Individuals. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our community in providing guidance and support in Bushfire Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level technical advice to internal and external stakeholders to develop, review, and implement policies, strategies, and plans of management to achieve best practice bushfire management outcomes.
  • Support the delivery of the objectives within the Newcastle Environment Strategy and the Newcastle Bush Fire Management Plan.
  • Implement updates to Bush Fire Prone Land mapping and report on Council Bushfire management activities.

Requirements:

  • Experience in bushfire management and emergency response.
  • Strong technical knowledge of bushfire management policies and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
