About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to lead our Newcastle office. As a key member of our senior leadership group, you will be responsible for driving commercial growth and delivering high-quality projects across ecology, planning, heritage, bushfire, NRM, GIS, and mine closure services.

Our Newcastle team has a strong track record of delivering exceptional results, and we are looking for someone who can build on this success. You will work closely with our clients, staff, and senior leadership to achieve our company's vision of 'Leading with science, to inform critical environmental decisions, and deliver positive solutions.'

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications relevant to the technical services provided by the Newcastle team.
  • At least 7 years' relevant industry experience.
  • Experience preparing high-quality reports and working with clients in the renewable energy sector.
  • Strong project and budget management skills, as well as outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • An aptitude for kind, positive leadership of a successful, cohesive, and growing team.
  • An interest in supporting others in their personal and professional development.
  • Networks and positive client relationships that you can maintain or build in NSW.
  • An ability to win work and deliver projects to the standard expected by our clients.
  • Be an active professional with extensive peer and client networks.
  • Share our values, be approachable, committed to quality, innovative, and energetic.
  • Current driver's licence.
