Water Infrastructure Specialist

The significance of water to the health of our world cannot be overstated.

In light of increasing flood, drought, and storm frequencies and intensities, the water industry must foster resilience and take a proactive approach.

We are seeking an experienced Water Infrastructure Specialist to join our team of diverse water professionals. You will have the opportunity to leverage our global network of skills and expertise to create positive water outcomes that respect nature and nurture communities.

  • You will work on preparing engineering studies in hydrology, waterways, and drainage.
  • You will develop innovative technical solutions for complex bridge, culvert, floodway, waterway, wetland, and stormwater network designs from planning to detail.
  • You will maintain proficiency in surface water modelling tools such as RORB, TUFLOW, DRAINS, and HEC-RAS.
  • You will apply 12D and DRAINS skills for detailed drainage and stormwater design.

Becoming a valuable member of the team:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline is essential.
  • 6-10 years of experience in waterways, hydrology, or drainage engineering, including involvement in large infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in 12D, DRAINS, RORB, TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, and other relevant hydraulic and hydrologic modelling tools is crucial.
  • Strong experience in client-facing roles and multidisciplinary project coordination.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare high-quality project reports and digital deliverables to professional standards.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables according to our project delivery and QA systems.
  • Mentor and support junior team members' technical development.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or working towards accreditation is highly regarded.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
