About the Role
This Support Worker role involves providing direct care and supervision to young people in a residential setting. You'll develop and implement individualised care plans, assist with daily activities, and promote a safe and positive living environment.
You'll build trusting relationships with young people, offering emotional support and guidance, while maintaining accurate records and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and supervision to young people in a residential setting.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans.
- Assist with daily activities, support understanding of self-care, education, and recreational activities.
- Promote a safe and positive living environment.
- Build trusting relationships with young people, offering emotional support and guidance.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Requirements
- A valid Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check or being willing and eligible to obtain prior to commencement.
- Availability to work across a full shift pattern (mornings, evenings and sleepovers).
- A valid Driver's Licence and access to a vehicle.
- A relevant Bachelor's Degree, Diploma or Certificate IV in Community Services, Youth/Social Work or related field.
- Experience working with young people/children.
- Experience working in other support work related fields, i.e. disability, mental health, aged care, and childcare.
