Job Description

The Early Childhood Educator role is a unique opportunity to work with young children and contribute to their growth and development.

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging environment that encourages children to explore and learn through play.

You will also lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children on outings to local points of interest.

In addition, you will assist in the preparation of snacks and arrangement of rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.

Key responsibilities include observing children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and preparing reports for parents or guardians.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively interact with children, colleagues, and parents/guardians.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: College diploma or other non-university certificate/diploma from a program of 1-2 years
  • Certificates, licenses, memberships, and courses: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • Experience: Experience an asset
