Heavy Equipment Technician Wanted

We're looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team at Roy Hill Mine.

As a member of our Mobile Maintenance Excavators, Drills & Dozers team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our diverse and advanced heavy mobile equipment fleet.

Job Description

Our ideal candidate will have a Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology and proven experience maintaining heavy mobile equipment in a mining or heavy industry setting.

They will be responsible for conducting inspections, servicing, repairs, and maintenance to ensure fleet reliability and efficiency, as well as diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues to ensure maximum equipment availability.

  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance tasks to prevent equipment downtime
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues using technical manuals and diagnostic tools
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance with a strong focus on safety and quality
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology
  • Proven experience maintaining heavy mobile equipment in a mining or heavy industry
  • Desirable licences: Forklift (LF), Elevated Work Platform (EWP), Crane, Dogging, and Basic Rigging
