We are seeking a seasoned leader to manage our agile-based development team.

About the Role

The role is hybrid based, with three days working in the office and two days remote. As a Software Development Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing a collaborative Agile team to develop, test, maintain, and deploy quality custom-built software solutions.

Key responsibilities include leading and managing a collaborative Agile team to develop, test, maintain, and deploy quality custom-built software solutions, conducting 1-on-1s with direct reports, providing guidance to reporting line managers, and fostering a positive and engaging work environment.

  • Champion development practices that foster ownership, growth, and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure projects and features are resourced effectively.
  • Plan, organise, and oversee Sprint ceremonies, ensuring timely and efficient completion of BAU tasks, bugs, and ad-hoc requests.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Software Development Manager, Engineering Manager, or similar role.
  • Experience delivering software development solutions at enterprise scale on cloud-based technology.
  • Strong experience with Agile delivery methods and leading technical delivery, including facilitating agile ceremonies and fostering an agile culture.
  • Deep understanding of release processes and change management.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of API design, DevOps tools and practices, and Quality Assurance practices.
  • Experience with comparable technologies.
