About the Role

The Management Accountant will play a crucial role in providing end-to-end finance functions and administrative support to the Corporate Services Department.

About Our Client

Netball SA is the peak State Sporting Organisation for netball in South Australia and is affiliated with Netball Australia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assistance and support to the General Manager - Corporate Services as required in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Manage and ensure timely completion of daily finance tasks, including bank reconciliations, data entry, credit card and account management, and month-end journal processing.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, including variance analysis and commentary, including Board and Management reporting.
  • Support the annual budget setting process, preparation of cash flow statements, and analysis of monthly results for forecasting annual projections.
  • Reconcile financial data according to supporting platforms including Archtics and Play HQ.
  • Manage preparation of annual audited financial statements and collaborate with external finance professionals to ensure accurate audit requirements and standards are maintained.
  • Manage business administrative functions including motor vehicle fleet and oversee IT asset management.
  • Identify projects and process improvements including software implementation and automation throughout the business.
  • Assist with project implementation, including managing stakeholders, training where required to achieve successful adoption across the business.
  • Accurately process fortnightly payroll and pay associated obligations like superannuation and payroll tax.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in a previous financial role, with an ability to prepare reports and finance reconciliations.
  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, or commerce, with CA qualification in progress or completed, are desirable.
  • Highly developed skills in financial and accounting function management.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage project implementation including finance and human resource systems.
  • Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance.
